If you could live the life of a clothing brand you wear from day-to-day, which would it be? Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, I had the pleasure of attending the Hollister House is Santa Monica, California, where I was able to do just that. New for summer of 2014, Hollister Co. hosts live concerts at their beautifully owned bungalow on the beach only steps away from the fine grained white sands. Surrounded by palm trees, hundreds of teenagers (including myself) enjoy the thrill of different performances on-stage, swimming in their in-ground pool, hitting some ping pong, tasting local fresh squeezed juices, and even catching some grub from the Greasy Weiner truck directly on premises.
With Fall, Winter, Spring, and the dreadful (for some of us) school year behind us, Hollister House gives us the opportunity to sit back, kick up and relax for four hours (1pm-5pm) participating in the multiple refreshing activities they have on premise.
When I arrived, I ran straight to the Hollister Jeans Lounge. What’s better than seeing their latest Dudes and Betty’s collections? For me, Hollister has always found a happy medium between casual day-to-night jeans, whether you’re dressing for the beach or the local coffee shop – they’re ultimately perfect for the SoCal inspired style.
Shortly after I learned the ropes of inside the house (where, might I add, my Instagram posts with #HollisterHouse appeared on a 72” flat screen), I ripped my button up off, popped it in my locker, and jumped right in the pool before Cayucas Band and St. Lucia hit the stage with the most sick acoustic set.
Suffice to say, next time I’m in Los Angeles, you may find me at the Hollister House, once or twice more before my Summer is over. Bravo to Hollister Co. for such a genius invention – it’s the perfect segway to intertwining the SoCal lifestyle to the everyday style/fashion we wear from day-to-day.
