The East Coast has undoubtedly faced one of it’s harshest winters to date. Yet when August’s heat hits, we know we’ll be craving the brisk chill of winter we worked so hard to escape. Never satisfied with the current climate, we alternate from craving to layer up in cashmere and coats to jumping into springs hottest hues.

New for 2014, Pantone released their color of the year as “Radiant Orchid” (Pantone #18-3224). There’s nothing hotter than sporting this pop of purple, whether it be daytime attire, or some color to light up your night. Radiant orchid roots that encourage innovation and promote creativity. Whether it be a pair of orchid Rag & Bone jeans paired with a plain white Alexander Wang tee, you will without a doubt have every head turned. Intimidated to swap your black jeans with this new color? Start off simple, pairing the new Essie nail color with some Marc Jacobs shades, and soon enough you’ll be popping with petals!
